The Logic System Story
The 1980’s
Logic System was founded in England by Chris Scott in 1983 as a tour sound hire company. Chris also manufactured loudspeakers for some of the UK’s large PA companies such as Roadstar and Skan (now part of Clair Brothers), with Logic System products being used on a world tour by the Eurhythmics.
During this period, Logic System installed their first stadium project at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground. The company also manufactured OEM products for Harman/JBL’s UK and European clients.
The 1990’s
Logic System moved into speaker manufacture as its main business, designing high output three-way point source systems such as the CS1290. It supplied products to many of the Premier League football stadiums, as well as the UK’s two largest nightclub operators.
The brand was officially launched in 1997 at the renowned PLASA show, in London’s iconic Earl’s Court. From there Logic System quickly moved into the international market in 1998, exhibiting at another famous show, Prolight & sound Frankfurt. Subsequently the brand became a regular on the global trade show circuit, gathering distribution in many countries across Europea and Asia.
The 2000’s
This was a period of intense product development for Logic System, where it entered the line array market with the Ethos VA system. This was followed by the Ethos CA system, an ahead-of-its-time constant curvature array. The ML point source touring and IS installation products were also developed, both of which gained popularity in the Asian market, competing with high end US and European brands.
2010-2020
Logic System was sold and the new owners renamed it Logic Systems. Chris Scott left to pursue other interests and eventually Logic Systems ceased trading.
2025
Logic System exhibits at Prolight & Sound Guangzhou, where the UK-manufactured A Series “ultimate point source performance” loudspeakers are launched, targeting the entertainment and KTV markets. The brand also launched the LS8Q and LS12Q amplifier range, made in Italy by Powersoft, featuring DSP, audio network and high power 4 channel operation. Logic System provides a full suite of A Series presets, for plug and play operation, along with system control by Powersoft’s Armonia software.
At the same show Logic System HK Ltd is appointed APAC regional distributor.
